Lithology and Thickness

Sandstones, siltstones, and clay slates with layers of limestone, gravelites, and conglomerates of incomplete thickness 650 m are exposed.

Fossils

Fossils of Lower Carboniferous brachiopods and foraminifers were found in the pebbles of the conglomerates. In a similar position in the section (at the base of the Upper Paleozoic) in the thickness of the more eastern regions in the low northern foothills of the Turkestan and Alay ridges, remains of the early Moscow fauna were found.

On the basis of fossil data, the considered rocks are conditionally considered Lower Moscovian.
